PFC Daniel John Archuleta, 74 of Greeley, passed away August 24, 2021 at his home. He was born April 26, 1947 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Joseph Samuel and Ramona (Candelaria) Archuleta. He married Pat Benavides in 1969.
Daniel lived in western Colorado until he was 12, then they moved to northern Colorado. He graduated from Highland High School in Ault and went into the Army after graduation. He is a Veteran of the Vietnam War.
After retiring from the Army, he moved back to Colorado and worked at Fort Saint Vrain, then the Denver Mint before retiring. In 2009 he moved to Hale Center, TX, where he was involved with St. Theresa Catholic Church. He moved back to Greeley, CO in 2018.
Daniel enjoyed fishing, hunting, tying flies, and was a Bronco’s fan. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Pat Benavides; daughters Patrice (Arturo) Castillo and April Archuleta; brother Bobby (Rita) Archuleta; and sister Judy Archuleta. He is also survived by his grandchildren Richard, Chelsi, Anaya, Michael, Chloe and Julian; and great-grandchildren Azailea and Alina.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Patsy; and brother Leroy.
Visitation will be held 6-8:00 p.m. on August 29, 2021 at Allnutt Funeral Service, Macy Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Greeley, CO.
