Cynthi was born to Donald W. and Delores M. (Swanson) Lindstrom at Weld County Hospital, Greeley , CO on March 2, 1955. The Hillside Community was special as she attended Jackson Elementary, John Evans Junior High and Greeley Central High School. She enjoyed being a cheerleader in Jr. High and High School and graduated in 1973.
Cynthi grew up attending church with her family at First Covenant Church of Greeley. She was Confirmed and Baptized in the church and enjoyed attending summer Bible Camps at Covenant Heights in Estes Park growing up. She attended the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business in 1977. While in college she was an active member of her sorority.
Following college she moved to Loveland to share an apartment with her sister Cathryn. She became involved in the First Covenant Church of Loveland where she met her future husband Scott Harman Johnson. They were married September 5, 1981 in that church. To this union were born Kristen Rose and Luke Aaron Johnson. After marriage they both became very involved with Message of Life church where she was a church secretary and sang on the worship team. Through the years she also was a travel agent, worked in retail at Merle Norman selling cosmetics and did in home party sales with the company Happy Things.
After Scott and Cynthi divorced, Cynthi spent time living in both Greeley and Loveland working at Dillards and Macy’s. Her passion and expertise were in the cosmetic department.
In November of 2013 she was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer and she fought her fight against cancer valiantly for the last 11 years up until her passing.
Cynthi is survived by her daughter Kristen (Robbie) Dotson and her adored four grandchildren Jacqueline, Alexa, Jakob and Aiden of Naples, Florida; son Luke Johnson of Austin, Texas; Mother, Delores M. (Swanson) Lindstrom, 93, who now resides at Lifecare Center of Greeley; sister, Cheryn (Robert) Wulf of Sussex, WI; sister-in-law Alice Lindstrom of Scottsdale, AZ and Uncle Herb Becker of Severance, CO. She loved and is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beloved dad Don W. Lindstrom, her sister Cathryn S. Gentry, her brother Eldon R. Lindstrom, grandparents Carl and Rose Lindstrom, Benard and Edna Swanson, Silver Manion and Aunt’s Vivian Becker and Dorothy Swanson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday July 15th at 11:00 am at Allnutt-Macy Funeral home in Greeley at 6521 W. 20th St., followed by a time of fellowship and then internment at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley.
