We loved Cora very much.and we will miss her wonderful smile.Ican remember when I was a kid she use to make the best spice cake every Birthday because she knew that was my favorite. Also anice old southern doll she gave Vicki and Vicki still has it in her bedroom . so Cora will be in both our memoies until we die.

The amount of sadness of Grandma?'s passing can be equaled by the amount of joy having been fortunate enough to be her grandson for over 44 of her 99 years of life.  My wife Elaine, our children AJ and Emily, and I will miss her very much and would like to express a special thanks to Ruby, Kathy, and any others who were involved in making her last years comfortable, loving, and complete.  I take comfort in knowing she is at peace in a better place with all those she loved that went before her.  I have many humorous and enjoyable memories (thanks to all my rambunctious cousins) that are too numerous to share here, but it is safe to say that if there is rain in heaven, Grandma will be on her screened porch watching it fall while smoking a cigarette and drinking her beloved Fresca.

My condolences to the family of Cora Belle (Grandma).  Although my memories of Grandma are very few, the time that I had with her will last a lifetime.  I enjoyed our little chit-chats and how she always smiled and gave me a big hug every time I was there.  To see how her eyes would sparkle and light up was a heaven sent gift.  I think my most favorite memories of Grandma will be when she wouldn't let me go that time and the honor of singing for her on my last visit to Colorado.  I will ever remember my last hug from her and the warmth of love in her eyes...miss ya Grandma-

I only knew Cora Belle through the pictures on Kathy and Nanette's page, but I could tell that Cora had a special spirit about her.  I also have loved the Rockies for years.  I loved the story about Dante Bichette and I'm sure the family will always treasure that ball.  My prayers are with you.

Though I did not know Cora Belle personally I was able to know her from my friend Nanette who regaled me of her love for life and of baseball, From Nanette I learned that she was a kind and gentle soul who loved life to the fullest and she was a woman who cared for all.

Oh, how honored and blest I am to have known and loved Grandma Cora Belle. Her gorgeous spirit has touched my life forever. Being able to celebrate her 99th birthday with her at the Rockie's Game is truly a memory I will never forget. I will miss holding her hand, her amazing smile and the light that shined so brightly from her eyes. I thank her for life-adopting me as a granddaughter.
