Born in Fort Collins and raised in Bellview, Connie attended local schools Cache La Poudre Elementary and Junior High, and Poudre High School. She married Leonard Soderberg at the Fort Collins Court House in August of 1985. Connie had one daughter, Jessie, and one son, Tyler. Connie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a free spirit and a talented artist. Connie was an exceptional painter, she made beautiful crystal wind chimes and created exquisite jewelry with beads. She enjoyed her plants and caring for them.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Jessie (Okema) Friend, son, Tyler Soderberg, grandchildren, Journey, Legacy and Story Omondi, sisters, Mary (Carl) Betts, Patricia Whitman, and Linda (Les) Powers, brother, Rick Cheney, and dear friend, Corrina Bailey.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, her parents and sister, Wanda Hilgenberg.
