Carol Pepin, 80, of Greeley passed away October 16th, 2021 at Grace Pointe Senior Care. She was born to George and Hazel (Miller) MacDonald on June 12, 1941 in Columbus Ohio. She married Gene Pepin in August of 1970.
Carol and Gene enjoyed travelling to Greece, Italy, China, Australia and Europe until his passing in 2008. After his passing she found her friend Jo, Niece Linda, or Cousin Margie to become her travelling partners. One of her favorite places she visited was China, she was astonished by the Terra Cotta warriors in the city of Xi’an. A lot of her travel revolved around historically significant locations due to her love of history. Some of her other interests included the history of her family tree in the form of ancestry. She was a teacher in District 6 for 32 years spending most of her years at Greeley Central and Heath teaching Language Arts.
Carol was a very giving person. She spent time stocking the food pantry at First Congregational Church and volunteering at the Greeley History Museum. Family was very important to her, and she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and attending their school activities. She passed surrounded by the love of her family.
Carol is survived by her children Jeff (Connie), Cindy (Mike), Matt (Kirsten), Gena (Ruben); grandchildren Eric (Sabrina), Joanna (Chris), Ben (Amber), Krista, Harrison, Madison, Maeve, and Alexander; great grandchildren Ella, Jordyn, Jacoby, and Jameson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gene, her sister Joyce, and her parents.
A celebration of life will be held at 4 pm Saturday, October 23, 2021 at First Congregational Church 2101 16th St, Greeley, CO, 80631.
