Carl F. Block, 92 of La Salle, was called home to be with his wife on Sunday, February 24, 2019. He was able to live a full, long life, full of love, family and achievements. He was born
March 31, 1926 in Mondamin, Iowa, where he and his brother and sister were raised.
Carl proudly served and fought in WWII. He was later called on to serve in the Korean War. He married his wife Donna in June of 1952 in Magnolia, Iowa. They moved to Greeley in 1955 and he worked as a tractor mechanic until his retirement.
Carl is survived by his daughter, Roxanne (Dale) Schlichenmayer; son, Daniel (Denise) Block; grandson David (BreeAnna) Hughes; and great grandchildren, Shane Hughes and one arriving in August.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday March 1, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, with a viewing starting at 9:00 A.M. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
