To the Newkirk family, I send my condolences.  Brion was loved by many and will be missed by all.  I have not seen him in many years, but not a day goes by where I don't think of him and the rest of my cousins.  Bill, Mike, Greg, Kendra, Tammy, Kimmy, Aunt Janie and Uncle John I love you all and am saddened and sorry for the loss of a wonderful Father, Husband, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, friend and mentor.

To the Newkirks...Brion was a great person.  He and I shared many hours in the front and back of an ambulance.  I hope that as I grow older, my children will look up to me as you looked up to your father.  The night of Brions service, I saw two difficult patients, in a short matter of time, I figured out what was wrong and what had to be done; one patient was quite old, and one quite young, they both did fine, I think someone was helping me.  Newk has definitely recieved his wings and is still helping people.  I will cherish your husband and Daddy forever.  Thank you for sharing him with us.

Brion was one of the finest men I've ever known. He was my Chief, my friend and my mentor. He gave me my first job in the fire service taught me what it meant to be apart of the greatest career a man could ever experience. I will miss his practical jokes and his leadership.......Godspeed my friend I will see you when I get there and we will man old Western Hills Engine One together again.

Sheila and Family, I was deeply saddened to hear of Brion's passing. I had the great privilege to have had Brion as one of the first Fire Chiefs in my career and early on in my career. He was always the greatest of mentors and helping anyone in their career advancement of the fire service. We had some great times at Western Hills Fire Department. He will be missed, but we will always have his knowledge and great smile to leads us along our path. God Bless.

At times like these words are so hard to express. Brion was a kind and caring person and I know how much he loved each and every one of you. His sense of humor and that additive smile won him alot of hearts and friends. I will miss his friendship terribly and all of you will be in my thoughts & prayers.

This doesn't seem possible that I would be saying good-bye to my baby brother. So many things go through my mind about our childhood.  I couldn't have asked for a better baby brother.  You have always been pure at heart.  And I respect you so much.  A huge piece of my heart is now missing.  Because you were one of the most awesome people I ever knew.  Your love of others was beyond comprehension. You are truly not only my hero but to thousands of people.  As far as I can say about you is that no one will ever compare to you. Your life changing influence on every person you have touched can never possibly be duplicated. I will miss you more than anyone will ever know or comprehend.  You not only saved lives but brought lives into this world while you were alive.  But have given of yourself to save other people's lives.  But given others a chance at a better life. I call a person with your intergrity, selfless.  You were the best father and husband anyone could ever wish for.  And just knowing you loved me and I loved you will keep me going until I see you again.  I remember lying on the grass when we were kids and watching those fluffy California clouds change their shapes into elephants to monkeys or angels etc.  And pointing out to each other what we thought they looked like.My favorite part was you telling me how much you couldn't wait to get to play on those clouds and jump from cloud to cloud.  I could go on and on because of the wodererful experienceswe shared.  I will hold on to our lives together and look forward to seeing you when we are together in our afterlife.  I will think of daily.  And I will cry not only sad tears but hopefully more so tears of the wonderful times we have had together.  Thank you for what you have done for me and our family.  But I can't leave out thanking you for making such a hugh difference in every life you toughed.  You were an angel here on earth and I know without a doubt you are an angel with honors, which you so much deserve.  I love you Brion.  
And I love Sheila, Kristin, Kellie and Craig as I loved and will always loved you.   If more people were like you....this world would be a world of peace and love beyond imagination.  I will miss you so much...Life won't be the same without you. Rest in Peace my dear baby brother.

 I cant express in words the sorrow I feel for your loss. Brion and I worked together for years. As a retired Greeley Police Officer I remember the  calls with Brion and my Fire Dept BROTHERS. Never a dull moment always fun. He will truly be missed.
