He was born February 10, 1936 to George J. and D. Evangeline (Cox) Hirschfield in Denver, Colorado. He grew up in Greeley and graduated from Greeley High School. Bob and Janice (Fritzler) Hirschfield were married in August of 1956, after which they spent 64 years together. He served in the U.S. Army for seven years, graduated from Western Television Institute as an electronic technician, and studied engineering at CSU. He worked for Hewlett Packard as a supervisor for 7 years and then owned and managed Hirschfield T.V. until he retired. He also spent some time working in real estate during his retirement years. He was a member of St. Paul’s Congregational Church for many years, where he served as a deacon and on the board. Many remember Bob for his gregarious personality, his kind heart, and familiar smile. He was a loving husband and caring father and grandfather. He enjoyed the outdoors and the Colorado mountains, where he hiked, fished, skied, four wheeled, and spent a lot of his spare time site seeing with his family.
Survivors include his son Greg Hirschfield, a brother, Donald Hirschfield (and his wife Sue) , 4 grandchildren (Kyle, Haley, Austin, and Brennan Hirschfield) and a great granddaughter (Ezzie . Langenfeld). He was preceded in death by his wife Janice, son David Hirschfield, and sister Joyce (Hirschfield) Dinkel.
A visitation will be held on Monday Nov 2, 2020 at 10:00 am at Allnutt Funeral Service – Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley Colorado. This will be followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am and a reception at the same location.
