He was born on August 12, 1937 to Guy and Opal (Wise) Knox in Seymour, Missouri. Bill's family moved around throughout his childhood until they ended up in Colorado. In May of 1959 he found the love of his life, Lila R. (Loeffler) Knox. It was love at first sight and after two months of knowing each other, they married on July 25, of 1959. Bill and Lila were married for 63 years. They loved spending their time together, especially on the road where Lila would join him when he had to drive truck.
Bill was a man of many talents, from doing electrical and plumbing work around the house to truck driving. He was always willing to help out his friends and family. Everyone who met Bill loved him and his kindness. He was an ordained minister and officiated many of his nieces and nephews weddings throughout his life. Bill was also an avid watcher of Western shows, and a huge fan of John Wayne.
Bill is survived by his wife, Lila Knox; their daughter, Theresa (Bobby); and two grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, and his infant brother.
