Bill Cahill, 80, of Eaton, died September 20, 2010 at Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit, Greeley. He was born August 25, 1930 in Evans, to Joseph and Mary (Wilkenson) Cahill. He was reared in the Greeley area and attended Greeley High School. He married June (Walker) Brant on June 1, 1968 at the Methodist Church in Fort Collins.
He served in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Sergeant. After his discharge he returned to Greeley. He started working for Home Light and Power which later became Public Service of Colorado. He worked as an electrician for 34 years. After his retirement he worked for Double J Feeders in Ault for 12 years. He was a member of Alger United Methodist Church of Eaton. Bill loved the outdoors, camping, and traveling. Above all he enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandkids and great grandkids. He also enjoyed making beautiful Christmas Wreaths for his family and friends at Christmas for many years.
He is survived by his wife June of Eaton, daughter Debbie Mueller (Lance) of Pueblo West, Colorado, sons Steve Brant (Vicki Hoffner) of Eaton and Ken Brant of Arvada, sister Mary Ellen Schnorr of Greeley, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters Virginia Flynn and Katherine, and one brother Jim Cahill.
Memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. at Alger United Methodist Church of Eaton, 303 Maple Avenue. Friends are asked to wear plaid shirts to the memorial service for Bill. Private family inurnment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
