Betty Elaine (Fix) Simons, 94, of Evans, Colorado, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 at North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley, Colorado. She was born March 19, 1928 in Topeka, Kansas to Nellie V. and Edward T. Fix.
Betty graduated from Topeka High School in 1946. On May 7, 1950, she married Robert Lee Simons in Topeka. She worked at Kansas Mutual as head bookkeeper. They moved to Colorado in 1970, and then worked for Adams County District 12. She retired in March of 1988.
Betty enjoyed cruising and playing card games with her family. She loved reading Sci-fi/Horror books and watching Sci-fi/Horror movies. She also enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, solving crossword puzzles and knitting.
Betty is survived by her two daughters, Debra Dunbar and Janet Williams (Mike); grandchildren, Bryan Dunbar (Kristi), Bradley Dunbar (Amanda) and Eric Williams (Shanel) and her great-grandchildren, Taylor Dunbar, Aiden Dunbar, Jordan Williams and Zoey Williams.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Simons, her parents, Edward and Nellie Fix, her son-in-law, Dennis Dunbar and her great-grandson, Brennan Chambers-Dunbar.
A Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Stoddard Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
