Betty was a graduate of Greeley High School and a lifetime resident of Greeley. She started her working career as a retail clerk for Woolco Department Store ending in 1983 with the closure of all the Woolco stores nationwide. She then attained employment with the Weld County Garage, where she spent approximately the next 30 years there and eventually retired.
Betty married Vernon Walls in 1964, Betty and Vernon had one son, Brian. She later married Charles Lloyd Sr. in 1975 and Betty and Charles had one son, Charlie. Betty was a hardworking mother and loved her family in her own way. She was a talented homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening, and sewing. As a seamstress she made many of her own clothes as well as her sons. Betty enjoyed knitting and crocheting in which she made many blankets in her pastime. She was a tender caregiver, and took excellent care of her mother Helen, before her passing.
She is survived by her sons, Brian (Kim) Walls, and Charlie Lloyd, grandchildren, Seth Lloyd, Shevelle Lloyd, Luke Langley, Daniel Foos, Dakota Walls, and Austin Walls, seven great-grandchildren, sisters, Sharon Jolley and Diana (Chuck) Rehmer, brother-in-law, Clark Guffy and her adored little yorkies, Mario and Luigi.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Colleen Galvin, brother, John Brower Jr. and sister, Linda Brower-Guffy.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Stoddard Funeral Home, in Greeley, and a Graveside Service on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, in Greeley, Colorado.
