Betty Jean Griebe

Betty was raised in Milliken, graduating from Greeley High School. After high school she attended Greeley Commercial College and got her degree in bookkeeping.

On November 28, 1953, she married W. Joe Griebe in Greeley. He died on July 21, 2005.

After college, she worked at Ehrlich Motors in La Salle for a number of years as the bookkeeper. She then went to work at the Red Steer Restaurant, where she continued as a bookkeeper, until she retired. Betty was a member of Pioneer Post No. 2121, VFW Auxiliary.

Betty was an avid bowler; she enjoyed quilting, reading and doing crafts, especially making doll houses and doll house furniture. She and her family enjoyed camping and the outdoors. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens. Above all was the time she spent with her family.

Betty is survived by two sons, Ronald Griebe of Colorado Springs and Terry Griebe (Kim) of Evans; two grandchildren, Ryan Griebe of Fort Collins and Stephanie Griebe of Ouray, Colorado; two great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
