Bonnie was born to the late Clarence and Martha Lanyon, in Fort Collins, CO on August 16, 1930. She was immersed in the Christian community that would be her lifelong support from an early age. She was baptized at the age of 9 and remained faithful to Our Lord until the end.
Bonnie's faith in Jesus Christ was not theoretical or detached; it was a living faith in a living Savior. Jesus Christ was the Lover of her soul, and she walked with him and talked with him, enjoying sweet communion with him daily.
She was blessed with a loving family. She married her high school sweetheart had two children, Marvin and Karen Lamb. She raised them with patience and love, often spending week-ends in the mountains hiking and fishing.
Bonnie began working at First Christian Church in 1958 and spent the next 39 years working there. She never felt it was a job, but that it was her ministry. After retiring in 1987 she continued that ministry by helping in the Family Center at Allnutt Funeral Home.
She was kind and soft-spoken, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter: Karen (Rick Ellerby) of Fort Collins, CO; 6 grandchildren: Marvin Lamb (Angie) of Greeley CO; Jeremy Lamb (Kim) of Littleton, CO; Merit Sylvester (Eric) of Newbury Park, CA; Kara Hamada (Koji) of West Grove PA; Ryan Ellerby of Fort Collins, CO; and Kyle Ellerby (Shelly) of Fort Collins, CO and great-grandchildren: Austin Lamb; Elijah and Coen Lamb; Gavin Ellerby; and Kai Hamada.
