Aurora was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother. She was so fond of her children and grandchildren; her family was her pride and joy. Aurora had a big heart and was one of the sweetest people you could have met, and was always welcoming. Aurora was a tough and strong willed woman. One of many things she loved was spending quality time with her family and reading her bible. Aurora also enjoyed Bingo, going to Black Hawk, and playing solitaire at home. She will always be known for her delicious cooking, especially her jarred green chili and spicy pickles (they were the best!). She loved to plant and harvested her garden. Aurora will always be remembered for everything she was, what she did, and how she positively affected not only the lives of her family, but friends and acquaintances as well. Aurora is clearly loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Aurora is survived by her children of the late Margarito Archuleta, who passed in 1973. Together they had 3 sons, J.R Archuleta, Bonifacio + Veronica Archuleta, Joe Andy Archuleta; 6 daughters, Tina + Lucas Garza, Bertha Archuleta, Vicky + Frank Loera, Susie Archuleta, Sandy Archuleta and Laurie + Ricky Redfren and 1 brother, Rodolfo Ortega. Aurora is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jose M. Duran, four brothers, Juan Ortega, Jose Ortega, Ernesto Ortega and Andy Ortega, daughter-in-law Isabel Archuleta and granddaughter Suzanne Archuleta.
