Antonio Castillo, 79, of Greeley, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 at North Colorado Medical Center. Antonio was born on April 1, 1934 in Aldama, Mexico to Franciso Castillo and Aurelia Galarza.
Antonio was raised in Chihuahua, Mexico. He was a great bartender. He married Victoria Gonzalez in Chihuahua.
Antonio loved to walk. He walked all over the place and sometimes would still even take the bus. He would be at the Arch just sitting and watching people walk by.
Antonio is survived by his wife, Victoria Gonzalez de Castillo; two daughters, Victoria Zacharko and Lydia S. Maestas; son, Martin Castillo Gonzalez and grandchildren, Christopher Zacharko, Pamela Maestas, Tanya Sue Maestas, Yuniki Castillo, Angelas Castillo, Martin Castillo, Jr., Adrian Morales, Anthony Briones, Justin Castillo and Emiliano Ivana Castillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be 5:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014 followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Memorial Mass 12:00 noon Friday, January 17, 2014 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
