Angel grew up in Mexico and moved to Greeley at the age of sixteen. He met Josie Morado while working at Hungenberg Produce, where Angel worked for over 20 years. They have been together since June of 1988.
He attended and was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Angel became a U.S Citizen on November 12, 1999.
Angel enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family and his two dogs Sunshine and Diego. Angel supported his family in Mexico for many years.
Angel is survived by his wife Josie Morado of Greeley; daughter Roberta Gonzales of Greeley; son Angel Gonzalez of Greeley; step-sons, Eddie Esquibel, Moses Esquibel and Celestino Esquibel all of Greeley; sister Maria DeLaLuz Gonzalez Negrete of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, four sisters, a niece and a great-nephew.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2019 with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00-8:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th St, Greeley. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd St, Greeley. Interment Eaton Cemetery, Eaton. A reception is to follow the interment at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
