Alice W. McFann of Greeley died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at her home. She was born October 24, 1915 in Lawrence, Nebraska to John and Mary (Hartman) Wenzinger.
Alice worked in Munitions Manufacturing during WWII, making tracer rounds. She became a telephone operator after the war. Alice was a grade school teacher for many years. In January of 1943, she married Ralph McFann, Jr. after their marriage they moved to Michigan, then on to Texas for a brief time before returning to Colorado and settling in Greeley 29 years ago.
Alice enjoyed and felt very strongly about donating to Disabled Veteran charities of all kinds. Alice was the backbone of her family.
Survived by her daughter Kathleen Gabriel and husband Dan of Berney, Texas; son Ralph McFann III; two dear nieces that she was very close to, Lois Quigley and Joann Sides and three grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband; infant son Johnny; two sisters one of which was her twin and a brother.
Celebration of Life service 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Private family inurnment Fairmount Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
