Alex was raised in Pierce and married Gomecinda Naranjo on September 15, 1962. He served in the US Army in Vietnam.
Alex loved playing guitar, reading, watching old Western movies and gambling. He was always making up songs that rhymed, they were not always appropriate, but were always unique. He loved his dogs, Raton and Princess.
Alex is survived by his wife, Gomecinda Garcia; daughter, Savannah Garcia; son, Jacob Patton; sisters, Stella Armas, Flora Uliberri, Lucy Padilla, Lorraine Alamaguer and Barbara (John) Rojas and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Theresa Torrez and Rebecca Berzoza and two brothers, Baldamar and Andres Garcia.
Visitation will be from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2019 with Recitation of the Rosary at 2:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Inurnment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
