Edelman, Dr. Martin J., 77 years old, entered into eternity on December 24, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn Edelman. Devoted and loving father of Kathy Edelman and her husband Wayne Kuegel. Cherished brother of Sharon Sheiman. Graveside services Sunday December 29, 2013 at 12:45pm at Beth David Cemetery, Elmont, New York. Edelman - Martin, J., MD. Died suddenly at home on December 24, 2013. Born August 13, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York, he graduated from Samuel J. Tilden High School at age 15. He went on to attend Cornell University and Cornell Medical College, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity and Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha honor societies. He did his internship and residency at New York Hospital and served as a captain in the United States Air Force. Dr. Edelman practiced diagnostic radiology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center for 23 years. Devoted husband of the late Marilyn Edelman, loving father of Kathy Edelman and her husband Wayne Kuegel, and adored brother of Sharon Edelman Sheiman. Private graveside services were held on Sunday, December 29, 2013 under the direction of Riverside-Nassau North Chapels (riversidenassaunorthchapels.com) and officiated by Rabbi Ronnie Kehati.
