Jerome L. Luskin, aged 93, passed away peacefully on May 8 at home. He was born on April 10, 1931 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn to George and Rose Luskin. He is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Sue Kleinman Luskin and their sons, Andrew, Brandon and Corey (Deborah) and grandchildren, Jamie (Elaina), Jaclyn Weiss (Brent), Ian, Samantha, Katherine, Alexandra and Ryan.
A graduate of University of Lausanne School of Medicine, Dr. Luskin practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in Queens, NY for 40 years. During that time he delivered more than 3,000 babies. As an Assistant Clinical Professor at Cornell Medical School, he took great pleasure in training medical students in his specialty.
A man of many interests, Jerry loved gardening and he created a large bonsai collection. He was adept at languages, was fluent in French, Yiddish and Italian and studied Spanish and Hebrew. He collected rare shells, painted landscapes, loved his numerous house pets and was devoted to classical music.
He was loved by all and he lived a good life.
