Lovely class.   Fall 1973.   Math for non majors.    We read Hardy’s Mathematicians Apology.   Enjoyed class very much.    

I was a student of Dr Mendelson in the late eighties and early nineties. I learned to love set theory from him and then went off to Wesleyan University to get my PhD in Topological Groups under Wistar Comfort. Dr Mendelson was a gentleman, a fantastic teacher and a very kind man. I will miss him.

I was a student of Elliot from 1963-1966 and an email friend more recently. We met for coffee recently.  I learned a great deal from him!
