Too many memories to pick one. Daisy was a consistent source of love from the earliest days of my childhood and throughout.  We had a special friendship that I will hold close forever. . She was second mother to us. I treasure our car rides, our dinners in London and our gossipy chats and laughs and mostly her adoring friendship with my mom.  Love to all her family.  -Rodney

Daisy, my mom, she lived a beautiful, remarkable life. To describe my mother is truly to describe a diamond in the rough. She was one of a kind, the mold was broken after she came into this world.
My mom was funny, beautiful, and loved by everyone who crossed her path. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, appreciated, and truly seen. She cherished her family like no other, and the love she showed us was beyond words.
She taught us the true meaning of family, of love, and of kindness. She showed us, every day, how to care for one another and be there for one another. Today, as we gather to say goodbye, I know we all feel the depth of her absence, but we are also surrounded by the warmth of her love and the memories she gifted us.
Daisy will be missed beyond measure. I miss you, Mom. Thank you for everything you gave us, for every lesson, every laugh, and every moment of love. We are so grateful to have been blessed by you.

I have never till this day met another Auntie Daisy. When I was a 13 I flew to the other side of the world to meet people I never knew that were “apparently “ my family , this was extremely challenging and equally terrifying.  One of those family members was a strange and beautiful lady by the name of Daisy.  Daisy would always kiss and cuddle me and say to me, “ Simon you don’t know how to love, I will teach you how to do this”.  Always kisses and always cuddles.  Year after year I would return and it would always be the same story.  Love love love. It was all she cared to know. 

How did you make Auntie  daisy happy? Tell her how beautiful she looked before going out, compliment her and she would glow.  I remember her hair, her jewellery and her silly long cigarettes with the lippie on the end.  Her jumping into a taxi and lighting up a smoke.  Her yelling at me when I’m walked past her without a kiss.  As a teenager I was fascinated with her, listening to her stories could be so wonderful and also very annoying.   When my mum and brother came out to New York auntie Daisy took us all in in a nice place in great neck.  On the telly my brother and I saw adult adds for sex telephone lines, we had never seen anything like it so we rang them and rang them laughing our heads off, we must of rang them 30 times costing her heaps and we were  laughing away. When auntie Daisy got the bill she was so mad at us so naturally we blamed Ed, Natalie and Nathan (Ed mostly) and she believed us.  How could her innocent Nefew do such a horrible thing?  Te he he. 

Natalie, Edward and Nathan, what an amazing loving unique mother you had, so full of love for her wonderful family.  I have never met another Auntie Daisy and I don’t think I ever will.
