Visitation is 1 to 5 p.m. Friday at O'Connor Funeral Home. Her funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church, with burial in Sun River Cemetery, followed by a reception at Fort Shaw Bible Church.
Survivors include her son, Helmut Teichert of Sun River; sisters Edeltraud Kietzman of Fairfield, and Eva Sivumaki of Sun River; brother Emich Steinke of Sun River; three granddaughters, Tiffany Jackson, Chanel Teichert and Brittany Lobdell; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Edmund Steinke; birth mother Stanislawa Steinke; stepmother Elmira Steinke; husband, Gerhard Teichert; her sister, Ingeburg Steinke, and her brother, Erhard Steinke.
Else was born Dec. 31, 1921, in Gawrony, Poland. She grew up and attended schools in Poland and Germany.
Else married Gerhard Teichert in 1949, in Badmunder, Germany. While in Germany, Else worked for the post office and the telephone company. Else, with her husband and son, immigrated to California, later moving to Great Falls and settling in Sun River in 1957. Here she made her home on a farm, which she loved.
Else was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Great Falls, and was passionate about her relationship with Jesus Christ. She enjoyed her life on the farm, raising vegetables, nurturing trees and cultivating roses. She cherished her family. Her home was always open to her siblings and friends.
