Sonja Rosel Anderson

Sonja Rosel Anderson Maner of Grapevine, TX passed away form a three year, hard fought, battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer. She passed through the gates of Heaven on Friday, November 10th surrounded by her loving family and greeted by numerous family and loved ones who passed before her.

She and her twin sister Sabrina were born in Dickson, TX in 1973.

She graduated from Grapevine High School in 1992.

Sonja met Dean Maner in 1994 and married her loving husband exactly 20 years ago on November 1, 2003. Dean is the love of her life and her soulmate, as she is his.

Sonja worked for Ryder System Inc. and was about to celebrate her 27th anniversary later this month.

She loved her husband and family, spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She mostly loved spending the holidays surrounded by family and Christmas was her favorite time of the year, and always tried to watch the Charlie Brown Christmas specials.

She is survived by her loving husband Dewayne Aldean "Dean" Maner, mother Evelyn Anderson of Grapevine, a twin sister Sabrina Anderson Smith (Chris) and nephew Gibson Smith of Grapevine, TX. A brother Eric Anderson (Mayumi) of Killeen, TX. Sister Shawn Cummings (Roger), nephew Nicholas Smith and niece Madison Smith of Grapevine, TX. Brother in law Mike Maner (Sandy) of Bossier/Shreveport, LA. Uncle Bill McDaniel of Billings, MT and Aunt Betty Jo Grierson of Pascagoula, MS.

In lieu of flowers, our family asks that donations be made to the Metastatic Breast Cancer Research Foundation in her memory.
