Sara Jane Ridlehuber Holmes was born on July 26, 1957, to Gene and Janie Barnes Ridlehuber in Lubbock, Texas. She entered into eternal rest on October 20, 2022, at the age of 65 years.
Sara graduated from Plainview High School in 1975. She was a member of the PHS Choir and the Marching Band where she was a twirler. Sara loved dancing and was a student and assistant to Pat Owens Stoner in Plainview.
After attending West Texas State University, Sara enrolled in Jessie Lee's School of Hair Design in Lubbock. She became a licensed cosmetologist and an instructor under the tutelage of Darlene Brockett.
Sara combined her talents and love of plants and flowers, and spent several years as a floral manager, crafting beautiful corsages, bouquets, arrangements, and mums for many special occasions. Sara worked for American Airlines in Customer Relations, and she retired from American after 20 years' service.
Sara is preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Morgan DuCasse. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Joshua Charles Foster of Dallas; her daughter, Lacey Foster and fiancé, Paul DuCasse of Colorado City; beloved grandchildren, Kilah Lenoir, Faith Fernandez, Harley Fernandez, Madi Kramer, Peyton DuCasse, Emily Ducasse; precious great-grandchildren, Yumi McCord, Isabella Gonzalez, Josiah Gonzalez, Avery Morgan Gonzalez; sisters, Joy Ridlehuber of Lewisville, Janet McCaleb and husband, Dickey of Amarillo; nieces, Adrienne McBeth, husband, Kieffer, and their children, Mason and Rowan, and Aaryn McCaleb and Raymond Hinds; many beloved cousins and dear friends; and her very special rescue pets, Cinderella and Olaf.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
A visitation for Sara will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at JE Foust Funeral Home, followed by a a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
