Jerry Wayne Martin

The memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday December 18, 2017, at J. E. Foust & Son Funeral Home in Grapevine, TX. Father George Henninger of Christus St. Joseph’s Village will be officiating.

Jerry was born in Dallas, TX on July 23, 1944. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1962. He continued on to receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English [1] from East Texas State University in 1966 [2] where he served as the Ritualist for the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He earned a Master of Education degree in 1976 from the University of Texas at Austin, and also received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree [3] from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Jerry was married to Suellyn Fabian on June 30, 1984[4] .After working as a District Manager for Southwestern Bell and Manager at the Texas Department of Rehabilitation, Jerry became a Management Consultant, serving as Senior Vice President for Drake, Beam, Morin, Inc., and later President of the Center for Executive Options. He enjoyed reading, golfing, playing guitar, taking care of his beloved pets, listening to music, and watching classic films.

Jerry is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 33 years and best friend, Suellyn Fabian Martin, of Flower Mound, TX; his children Kevin (Trina), Scott (Teresa), and Jeanine (Robert) Blanchard; his five grandchildren Jessica, Rebecca, Catherine, Bennet, and Roman; his brother Bob (Marsha); and many other family and friends.

Jerry is preceded in death by his father Robert M. Martin, Sr., mother Hazel Hunt, and sister Bobbie Berry.
