On April 5th, James Frank Blanchard slipped away to heaven with his family by his side in Bella Vista, Arkansas. He had battled with dementia for almost four years. James was born on October 4, 1948, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, to Bud and Lottie Blanchard. He was their sixth child and the only one born in a hospital. James graduated from Cleveland High School in Cleveland, Mississippi. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi. James worked at Baxter Lab in Cleveland for 18 years. There he met Dorothy Phillips. They married in 1970 and became parents of three children, Ginger, Philip, and Anna. In 1985 the Blanchard family moved to Texas where James worked at Boeing Electronics/BAE. He retired in 2012. Dorothy worked for Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD for 25 years, retiring in 2010. Then they moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas, where they have resided ever since. In addition to his wife Dorothy, James is survived by daughters Ginger Koetting (Jake) and Anna Marie, son Philip, grandsons Cole and Grant Koetting, two sisters Peggy Holsapple and Janis Bryant, and brother Archie Blanchard. Both the celebration of life and visitation will be held at J.E. Foust Funeral Home in Grapevine, Texas. The service will be on April 15th at 10:00 a.m. and the visitation will be on April 14th 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The burial will be on April 15th in Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville, Texas. Dr. Paul Blanchard, nephew of James, will conduct the service, and the eulogy will be delivered by Don Saxon, brother-in-law. Pallbearers will be the two grandsons, Cole and Grant Koetting, along with four nephews, Dennis Cobb, Barry Bryant, David Blanchard, and Neal Blanchard. James was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Lottie Blanchard, as well as two brothers, Billy and Benny Blanchard.
