James Bruce Arnold the kindest, loving, and generous (to a fault) man ever. He loved his family fiercely and worked hard his whole life. He was a Christian man who was very civic-minded that led him to donate his work to revitalizing Bicentennial Park in the 1980’s which laid the foundation to what it is today. His work in Southlake is immeasurable to the community. From the subdivisions, he helped to build to Bob Jones Park. His contribution to the community was endless. He spent time coaching, working on baseball fields, and serving on boards.
He owned and operated James B Arnold Surveying from 1973 – 1976 and transitioned it into James B Arnold Construction. He did dirt excavation work on the Ball Park at Arlington, Tour 18 Golf Course, Timmaron, and numerous subdivisions. James was respected by everyone he encountered either professionally or personally.
James was proceeded in death by his parents, Sydney and Maddie Arnold, brother, Harris Arnold, and sister, Bettye Brown. James is survived by the love of his life for 48 years, Randy Strangi Arnold, children and spouses, Stacy Ervin & Mike, Shannon Leonard & Sean, Jimmy Arnold & Amy, grandchildren Shere’ Moore, Toni Hornbeck, Austen Shearouse, Samantha Delgado, Lauren Shearouse, Shea Moore, Sydney Shearouse, Talley Moore, Luke Arnold, Taylor Leonard, Brandon Ervin, Katherine Trojaeck, Trevor Ervin, Alex Ervin, 6 great-grandchildren, sister Marie Morgan and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
