Haden was born on September 20, 1993 in Reading, PA. After stops in Concord, NH and Albuquerque, NM, Haden moved to Dallas when he was six years old. He was duly elected president of his 6th grade class at Lakewood Elementary School. (Regrettably, he was removed from office for the impeachable offense of booing at a spelling bee.) Always one to “go big or go home,” Haden played tuba in the William B. Travis Academy band. He was a proud member of the Bishop Lynch freshman football and mock trial teams.
Haden’s future was brighter than the sun, but dark shadows, from within and without, crept in and dragged him far off course. Through the grace of God, Haden found his way back.
Over the last two years, Haden embraced the opportunity to become a pizza chef at Greenville Avenue Pizza Co., earned rave reviews as a server from his regulars at Outback Steakhouse in Hurst and excelled as an electrical apprentice at Prime Controls, LP.
Haden is survived by parents MaryBeth and Jim McMillon of Southlake and Todd E. and Lynn Landis of Dallas, brothers Shane Landis and Nathan and Glenn McMillon, sister Naomi Landis, grandmothers Joann Landis of Reading, PA and Barbara McMillon of Houston, soulmate Lyann Hall and her daughter, the light of Haden’s life, Harley Seaton of Haltom City, and loving aunts, uncles and cousins on all sides of the family.
