In Memory of Edwin Wayne Thompson Wayne Thompson was born on March 6th 1940 in Little Rock Arkansas and passed away May 28th 2016 at the age of 76. Known throughout his life to be a man in service of others he started this legacy by joining the United States Army. He honorably served his country for twenty-three years and during that time he earned the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Upon completion of his service in the Army his skills as a leader helped him have a successful career in the sales industry until he retired with Pitney Bowes 2003. To the many reading this you may think these are the things he should have been proudest of but he would’ve told you otherwise. In life he had many accomplishments in the military and in the business worlds respectively; however, his greatest accomplishment in life was being a loving husband to his wife Judi and a caring father to his children. The love he had for the people in his life came from the very things that gave him joy. He was an avid hunter, reader, lifelong music and baseball fan, coke drinker and Rottweiler owner. He loved many things and many people loved him, he was a beloved brother, a loving husband, a cherished father and a proud grandparent. He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Thompson; brothers Max Oliver, Larry Thompson and Charles Thompson, son in law Matthew Paulson.
