Diane Marie Stephenson, age 65, of Bedford, TX passed away peacefully on April 15th, 2023 following a brave and courageous two and a half year battle with cancer. Diane was born Diane Marie Sahm on October 12, 1957 in Chicago, IL. The daughter of Kenneth and Rosemary Sahm, she grew up in Chicago before moving to New Jersey where she went to college and met her future husband, Peter Stephenson.
In 1979 she married Peter and went on to have three children, Aimee, Matthew, and Kyle. Diane lived a full, blessed life, devoted to her faith, family, and career in education where she enhanced the lives of thousands of children.
She is survived by her loving husband Peter Stephenson. Daughter Aimee Dillingham and husband Josh Dillingham with Grandson Nash Dillingham. Son Matthew Stephenson and wife Stoli Stephenson and Grand-daughter Emery Stephenson. Son Kyle Stephenson.
Brother Bob Sahm, Sister Peggy Sahm and sister Carol Owens and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother Billy.
A visitation for Diane will be held on Thursday, April 20th, 2023 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Directors, 523 Main St. Grapevine, TX.
The funeral service will be at 10:00am Friday, April 21st, 2023 at Church at the Cross on 3000 William D. Tate Ave., Grapevine, TX.
Her final resting place will be at the Grapevine Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations in her name to Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas, TX.
