Richard was born along with his twin brother Donald in Hayward, CA, on May 6, 1949 to Margaret Grace Murchison and Anthony Dugal Forcier. He graduated from James Logan High school in Hayward in 1967, and received his AA degree in Business from Chabot college. He met his wife Jennifer Farnworth in Fremont, CA, and they were married in 1989. He worked in production for some years, and developed a keen interest in computer technology. He found the job that fulfilled him most at Apple Computer in Cupertino, CA.
In 2006, Jen and Richard were ready for changes and found the perfect place in Grants Pass, OR. Richard gravitated to country living. He always said his best purchase ever was his John Deere tractor. He thrived on doing projects around their 5-acre property for many years. Richard and Jen loved cruising together, their favorite experience being a transatlantic cruise to various ports in the Mediterranean. Richard loved the excitement of watching and playing the horse races. He enthusiastically followed developments in technology, and was the “go to” for friends and family for everything from phones to computers to televisions. He will be fondly remembered for his aversion to white creamy foods, such as mayonnaise, sour cream, and alfredo sauce (with the only exceptions of pizza cheese, whipped cream, and ice cream).
He is survived by his wife Jen, brother John Forcier of Grants Pass, and sister Susan Moseley of Modesto, CA, and many nieces and nephews.
