John Howard Gates

battle with Alzheimer’s.

John graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1958. He was president of

“The Knuckle Busters” car club.

He worked for several mills and then worked for Jim Sigel as head painter.

He decided to go into business for himself in the 1980’s with Gates Body Shop.

He restored classis cars.

He was a member of “The Rogue Valley Classic Cruisers” and “The Cam Kings”,

both car clubs

His last big project was to restore his 1948 Cadillac convertible which he was never

able to finish due to his illness taking over.

We would like to give special thanks to all the good people who helped with his care

during his illness.

No public service will be held. A private service will be held at a later date.

John is survived by Connie Gates, Tawnia Gates, Al Gates, Judy Slanaker and Jimmy Gates.
