Joanne Shaffer, age 75, of Grants Pass, Oregon, passed away on April 21, 2025. Born in San Francisco, she moved to Southern Oregon in the mid-70’s. Joanne was “beautiful and as wild as a whirlwind”. She was known for her untamed spirit and lived life fully. Joanne is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Giusto, sister, Roxanne Loper, nephew, Max McEvoy, niece, Nikki Loper, four grandchildren, Kayla Pittman, Mason Gustafson, Kyle Bice, and Josie Gustafson, plus three great-grandchildren.
Joanne was happiest spending time with her family, cooking for others, caring for her dog Pookie, and fishing. She loved children and created happy memories for many. Know to many as Grandma Joey or Aunt Joey, she will forever remain in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled later this summer.
