Howard “Glen” Newman, 90, of Grants Pass died at his home July 23, 2017. Glen was born in Juniata, Nebraska to Howard and Hazel Newman. He met his wife, Elizabeth Knowlton, while in High School in Van Nuys, California. Glen joined the Navy during WWII and served in the South Pacific. After the war, Glen and Elizabeth settled in the San Fernando Valley, California, and raised their family. In 1987 they moved to Grants Pass. Glen loved to fish the rivers around Grants Pass and was an active member of the Newman United Methodist Church. Glen in preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth. He is survived by his 6 children, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. No services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Chapel of the Valley- L.B. Hall Funeral Home.
