Steven Michael Runyan

Steven Michael Runyan, age 74, went to be with Jesus Saturday, January 1, 2022. After beating lung cancer twice, he succumbed to respiratory complications. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Shantell Lee Martin, and sister and brother-in-law Priscilla and Owen Keeler.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 33 years, Mary Runyan; children Tracy Runyan and Stephanie Runyan, Melissa (Greg) Syrjala, Mike (Angela) Ritz, Melinda (Chris) Fisk; 12 grandchildren Samantha (Bobby) Baxter, Mikea (Joe) Rule, Drake, Boston, and Baylor Syrjala, Ellis Ritz, Ethan, Addison, Avery, Hudson, Nolan, and Piper Fisk; three great-grandchildren Vincent Brussels, Laila and Mikey Baxter; as well as many brothers- and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews from the Shade, Shepard, and Ritz families.

Visitation will take place from 4 - 7 p.m. Sunday, January 9 at Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 10 at Cook Memorial Chapel with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastors Dave Hansen and Seth Walker will be officiating.
