Shirley Smith, the most caring and lovely lady we have had the honor to call wife, mom, and grandma, was welcomed by Jesus into her new heavenly home on Friday, May 24, 2024. She lived a life serving her family and others to the fullest and has left a huge void in our lives.
She will be lovingly missed by her husband of 63 years, Robert Smith; children Pam (John) Kryger, Robin Smith, Connie McDowell; grandchildren Mandy (Michael) McGovern, Luke Schuitema, Erika Kryger, Jared (Sarah) Kryger, Emily (Josh) Fox, Charlie Zweedyk, Corinne Zweedyk; seven great-grandchildren; siblings Judy Reinink, Larry (Sharon) Lugtigheid, Sandy Crosby; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation with Shirley’s family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan 49418. Funeral services for Shirley will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., at Grandville Bible Church, 4122 44th St. SW, Grandville, Michigan 49418.
