

Sharon Lyn Elenbaas, age 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, December 10, 2022 after losing her battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Gerald Mutchler Sr. and Noreen Mutchler; brothers Steve Mutchler and Gerald Mutchler Jr. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, David Elenbaas; children Troy (Tammi) Elenbaas, Tara (Pavel) Elenbaas-Danek; seven grandchildren Paula (John) Haveman, Travis VandenBerg, Alyssa (Cody) Neal, Hannah and Jackson Elenbaas, Davin and Kendin Danek; nine great-grandchildren Bryleigh and Brayden VandenBerg, Brooklynn Haveman, Azalea, Wayne, and Zander VandenBerg, Esamae Thayer, Waylon and Harley Neal; sister, Karen (Tom) Fridsma; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Sharon will be remembered as a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She lived a full life and was strong in her faith. She loved spending time with family and friends - especially during the holidays. Her kindness, compassion, and generosity will be remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will commence 11 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2022, with visitation one hour prior, at First Christian Reformed Church of Hudsonville, 5486 32nd Ave. Hudsonville, MI 49426. Pastor Dave Jolman will be officiating. In honor of Sharon and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Jenison Christian School. Interment will be at Georgetown Cemetery.
