Ruth E. Good

Ruth Elaine Good, age 88, went to be with her Lord Thursday, August 31, 2023. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Good and parents. She will be remembered by her children Joanne (Chester) Lampen, Kenneth (Perla) Good and Susan Putnam; grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Ruth was a loving and devoted wife to her husband of 63 years, Victor. She enjoyed traveling, sightseeing and camping with her family. Later, they added to their itinerary visiting their children as they grew and moved from city and state. She worked for Union Bank and retired after 20 years of service. After retirement, she enjoyed doing things with her sister "Patsy," especially going on bus trips. She was a fan of the Lions and Tigers; you would often find her watching or listening to them. To relax, she liked to read her mystery books. Neighbors would often see her out in the yard picking up sticks that fell from the trees; she liked to keep things neat. When life became too challenging, she moved to Sunset Manor where she formed new friendships with staff and residents. Ruth will be missed for her loving ways and beautiful smile and her little bit of wit.

Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A celebration of Ruth’s life will commence 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, with visitation one hour prior to service, at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building). Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In memory of Ruth, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association or Faith Hospice.
