He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and June Smits.
Ron will be lovingly missed by Tammy; his children, Jim (Leigh-Ann) Smits, and Kimberly Smits; grandchildren Savannah and Brecken Smits; many nieces and nephews; brothers Lee (Marcia) Smits, Larry (Marcia) Smits, Robert (Marcia) Smits, Randy (Dawn) Smits, and James and Clarine Lanting.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville.
Relatives and friends may meet Ron's family one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ron to Healing the Children.
