Ronald Douglas Kitchen

KITCHEN - Ronald Douglas Kitchen passed away peacefully at the age of 79, on September 18, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Watson. He had 2 children, Rich and Nancy Kitchen and Judy and Don Strock. His grandchildren were his pride and joy: Andy Kitchen Marissa, Bob Kitchen Mandy, Dan Strock Heather, Kate Tucker Matt, Susan King Jason and Steven Strock. He had 7 great grandchildren, Ruth, Isaac, Cora, Audrey, Reilly, Benjamin Ronald and James Douglas. He had a very special relationship with his good friend, Steve Beld. He was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Patricia Kitchen of Freeport, Bahamas.

He had a great love for his family, his golf course, Daytona Beach, hunting, fishing and his garden. He was a builder in the metro Detroit area for over 30 years.

Memorial service will be held 4:30 p.m. Sunday, at the Cook Memorial Chapel in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW east building, with Rev. Clifton Rhodes officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday.
