Roberta "Bobbie" Ann Vinton, age 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, December 6, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Pat Schultz; husband, Scott Vinton; brother, Doug Schultz; in-laws Jack and Margaret Vinton; brother-in-law, James R. Vinton; and nephew, Daniel Sicko.
She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her sons Casey Vinton and Drew (Jamie) Vinton; grandchildren Jada and Andi Vinton; siblings Ronda (Gary) Barger, Becky Schultz, and Denny (Missy) Schultz; sisters-in-law Ann Sicko and Laura Vinton; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Bobbie was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Chicago Bears, Michigan Wolverines, New York Yankees, and, more recently, the Detroit Lions. She had a passion for playing and coaching softball, spending time with her husband, solving puzzles, baking cookies, and enjoying winters in Florida. Bobbie retired after a rewarding career at Meijer and remained close to many of her former co-workers.
Visitation with Bobbie’s family and friends will take place from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie Street SW, Grandville, Michigan 49418.
A celebration of life for both Scott and Bobbie will be held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at American Legion Post 179, 2327 Wilson Ave. SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534.
