Richard Edwin Orlik, age 76, went to be with his Lord Sunday, February 13, 2022. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Amelia Orlik, and sister, Sheila Heaton. He will be remembered by his children Danyel and Adam Heft, and Justin and Missy Orlik; grandchildren Hannah, Logan, Connor, and Shelby; other family and friends.
After serving our country in the Navy, he retired from Steelcase after 33 years and went on to teach motorcycle safety, which he loved, for the following ten years. He enjoyed spending time with his dog, Penny, fishing, spending time up north, playing music, and serving in different ways at church.
Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A Funeral Mass will commence the following day 11 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2022 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2700 Baldwin Street, Jenison, MI 49428, with visitation one hour prior to Mass. When in attendance, the family kindly asks that all guests wear a face covering and practice social distancing for their safety. In honor of Richard and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of West Michigan or Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
