Richard Jon Kossen Sr.

Richard grew up in Wyoming, and raised his family in Jenison. Richard made a life for himself and family mostly on the water and at the race tracks before retiring from a life of automotive manufacturing after 30 years. He greatly enjoyed sailing, reading, and racing cars. Richard will be dearly missed and always remembered for his strong will and the ability conquer any challenge he set his mind to.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents John and Virginia Kossen. He is survived by his sons Richard and Rodney; grandchildren Mason and Audri; daughters-in-law Kim and Leslie; sister, Pat; brother-in-law, Phil; and brother, Ron.

Richard requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Richard's loved ones to join us in celebrating his journey by remembering moments shared, while listening to the sounds of American muscle, and a full main sail.
