It has been a privilege to know Rex for many years, but especially to be his Pastor and to serve with him as a leader at our church these last five years.

Blessings to the Rex Roseman family. Rex was my Bulldog football coach back in '53 & '54. He was always a true gentleman, good coach, good friend and a fine example. Coach Rex was so fast on his feet, he could outrun his entire football team during practice. There were times when he outran us, and he was running backwards! One memorable day he took several of us to Alma College for a sports banquet. Rex was kind enough to attend several of our class reunions. He will be missed, but fondly remembered. We all take comfort in the fact that he knew the Lord.

our heart felt sympathy goes out to the Roseman family. Take the time to reflect on the good times you injoyed under the guidance of a great, well respected man. His accomplishments lives on in each and every one of you. He is sitting on a calm lake in a canoe looking down at the reflection of a man that was blessed to go through his life journey surronded by a loving family & good friends.

Dear Jan, Doug and Sue, and all the family,
 We are thinking of and praying for you all, asking God to cover you with his grace and peace. In our morning chapel services last week a couple of the men spoke of God's peace that passes understanding. How wonderful that as his children we may not understand it, but we know it to be true and we can experience it through times of trials and sorrow. 
 Rex always had a smile and friendly greeting for us: we will miss him.

 Rex was always part of my summers and I will miss him dearly. Esher won't be the same without him but I know he will be there every summer watching over everyone and maybe even guiding you to the fishing hole with the bigest fish. Wish I could be there with you in this time of sorrow.

Dear Janice and family, As newlyweds honeymooning in the wilds of Northern Ontario at Como Lake Camps, and returning to stay the summers before building your summer home at Esher, you and Rex brought great joy and guidance to my brother Teddy and I. Rex was a wonderful role model, hard working but with time to play, recalling fondly the sunset swims after a full day's work. He will be forever in our hearts. Mr. Roseman was my football coach in 1957 & '58. He was never profane, and always positive, patient, and encouraging. He was also Grandville's first wrestling coach. My condolences to his family. Also, a reminder to his children and grand-children of how fortunate they were to grow up with such a fine example of a man. The family was truly blessed.

Dear Family, I am sorry to hear of the passing of your dear ones, whom I remember from being my Dads cousins. Today when I found this website, I recognized Rex from the picture right away, although my last recall was as a child living on Hanlon in Livonia. I feel really sad to have missed being able to reminisce with Rex and Charles, my Dads two big red headed cousins who were always so kind to me! You know my Dad died in 1997, and then Grandma Minnie, and my Mom died in 2003. So I know how much loss hurts to the heart, and how we cherish the wonderful thoughts we have stored up. Also, I do know and look forward to the opportunity in the future when we will all talk together again. For as the apostle Paul told us, “I have hope toward God,which hope these men themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” Just as he did Lazurus, Christ Jesus will bring back loved ones...and I am sure our whole big family will all love that! You dont know me put rex was my gym teacher when i was you and football coach later in 66 i joined the army three tuors in vietman 30 years in the army rex alwaws said i was a pretty tough kid for a light wieght he was a good man and a great teacher rip mrex.

Mr. Roseman was my gym teacher form 1963 through 1966. Everyone knows he nurtured and promoted Excellence. How many people knew that he had very considerate patience and attention for those of us "Also Rans" who were NOT particularly athletic, did not win any accolades, and struggled with physical prowess? Mr. Roseman not only had the deep respect of the Jocks and Letter Winners; he also had the admiration and gratitude of those of us who were last to be chosen for anything. He made us feel adequate, needed and appreciated. How many teachers have that magic? I was in his 10th grade Biology class the day he had to tell us that President Kennedy had been shot. He taught us another lesson that awful day.....men CAN cry. We loved him.
