Merrill "Scotty" Loyd Scott

SCOTT Merrill "Scotty" Loyd Scott, age 75 went to be with his Lord, Sunday, June 15, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents Iris "Eileen" and Richard Scott; brother Brian Scott, sister-in-law Vera Korte, brother-in-law Henry Niedert.

He will be remembered by his wife of 55 years, Delores "Dee" Scott; son Richard (Marylee) Scott; grandchildren Richard (Jenni Campbell) Scott II, Shawna (Daniel) Barnhardt, Amy (Josh) Berends, Steven (Julie Moomie) Cain, Beth Cain (fiancAC. Isaac Horne), Thomas (Sara Piotrowski) Cain, 7 great-grandchildren; sister Kathy (Jim) Roszell, sisters-in-law Barbara (Eddie) Sweerin, Connie Scott; brother-in-law John Korte; many nieces and nephews. He loved Florida, as well as, fishing and hunting.

Visitation with the family will be held 5-8PM Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Cook Funeral Home - 2067 84th St, Byron Center, MI. Funeral service will be held at 11AM with visitation one hour prior on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church - 150 50th Street SW, Grand Rapids, MI. Pastor John Diener will be officiating. In honor of Merrill, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Grace Lutheran Church.
