Karen J. Vanden Vanden Berg

VANDEN BERG Karen J. Vanden Berg (Blackport) age 73, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Her children and grandchildren were the love of her life. She was devoted to them as a stay at home mom. As her children grew, she received great joy caring for her grandchildren. Throughout her life she showed her love, care, and concern by supporting both her children and grandchildren in their sporting events, school activities and achievements. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Nina Blackport. She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 50 years, Ray Vanden Berg; sons, David Vanden Berg, and James (Sara) Vanden Berg; grandchildren, Lauren, Adam, Jacob, Hanna; brothers, Ron (Donna) Blackport, and Ken (Joanne) Blackport; sister-in-law, Ruth (Les) Ruster; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 1:30 PM at the Cook Memorial Chapel (east building), 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville. Interment will be at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet her family Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Cook Funeral Home (west building) and Friday from 12:30 PM until the time of her service at the funeral home.
