John T. Wustman

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ted Wustman, and three sisters, Florence Smallegan, June VanOverloop, and Vivian Berends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jurane Wustman Boes; his children, Mary & Jerry Peck of Hudsonville, Jack & Cheryl Wustman of Saranac, Cyndy & Dan Kopp or Wayland, John Jr. & Katy Wustman of Wyoming, Joannie & Scott Bouman of Holland; grandchildren, Kristin & Terry Milnamow Braden, Camden, Lainie, Joey, Dustin & Renee Peck, Jacob Wustman, Dawn & Jeff Massom Olivia, William, Jenny Kopp Megan, John III & Courtney Wustman, Rachel Wustman, Alison Bouman. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Arlene Wustman, and brothers-in-law Gordon VanOverloop, Roger Berends and Pierson Brower; many nieces, nephews and friends.

John was born to Harm and Marie Wustman on Jan. 9, 1928, and was a life-long resident of Byron Center. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a strong man, and a hard worker. Most importantly, he devoted his whole life to his family.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Railside Assisted Living Center for their loving care.

A time for relatives and friends to visit with John's family will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Wednesday at the Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 84th St. SW. Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday at the Reformed Church of Corinth, 129 – 100th St. SE. Rev. Warren Burgess will be officiating.
