Janice Sue Burton, age 71, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, February 1, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father, Darwin Eikelberg. She will be lovingly missed by her husband, Dr. James Burton; children Jonathan Burton, Jeffrey (Erin) Burton; grandchildren Oliver and Evelyn Burton; mother, Jeanette Eikelberg; siblings Karen (Robert) Kol, Richard Eikelberg, Kevin Eikelberg, Holly (Brian) Prangley; sister-in-law, Kristine Burton Dipple.
Janice was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease six years ago, but it was Covid-19 that took her life. She was a dedicated wife and mother, and a strong believer in Jesus Christ. She taught Sunday school, vacation Bible school, and she participated in women’s Bible studies at church. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends, traveling, skiing, horseback riding, and helping people.
Celebration of Janice’s Life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2023, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m., at Fellowship Reformed Church, 6610 36th Ave., Hudsonville, MI 49426.
